Finding the right weapons? That’s a different story. There are a lot of unique weapons in the world of Castle Crashers, each with their own unique looks and effects. And in this ranking we’re looking into some options that you can find before you set sail from the Docks level. Note: some weapons on this list can only be obtainable by purchasing the following:

“Pink Knight Pack” DLC “Blacksmith Pack” DLC BattleBlock Theater

10. Electric Eel

The Electric Eel is an aquatic melee weapon that can be used to whack enemies on the head with a 3% chance to electrify them. This weapon also offers a +4 Magic stat boosts and a deduction of 1 point in the Defense stat. You’ll also need to be level 30 in order to wield this weapon. If you’re a magic-based user willing to trade a little Defense for a lot of Magic, then this is for you. Just remember that you will still have to grind your XP before you can use it. How to get: You can find the Electric Eel inside the Weapons Frog’s mouth after purchasing the “Pink Knight Pack” DLC.

9. Skeletor Mace

Also known as the Black Mace, this takes away 2 points in Strength and gives the player a stat boost of:

+3 Defense +5 Agility

The Skeletor Mace does have great perks, but the patience to wait for an enemy to drop it may not be worth spending your time on. Also, this mace will deal less damage towards enemies vs. other options here – still decent! How to get: Skeletons roaming around in the “Lava World” level can drop this weapon.

8. Cattle Prod

This electric Cattle Prod gives your knight +4 points in Defense. You also have a 4% chance to Electrify your opponents upon hitting them. This weapon will fortify your knight’s tankiness while not taking away any other stats- which is a huge plus. But you do need to be level 30 to use it in battle. How to get: You can find the Cattle Prod inside the Weapons Frog’s mouth after purchasing the “Blacksmith Pack” DLC.

7. Cardboard Tube

The Cardboard Tube, along with the Sai, can give you the highest Agility stat boost (+6) out of any other weapon in the game. The only takeaway is that it takes -2 Strength points from you. If you like shooting arrows and moving around faster, then the Cardboard Tube will fit nicely into your hands. Just try to remember that this weapon will also soften up your melee attacks, and you have to be level 15 to use it. How to get: You can find the Cardboard Tube inside the Weapons Frog’s mouth after purchasing BattleBlock Theater.

6. Clunky Mace

The Clunky Mace gives you +5 in Strength with a deduction of 2 Agility points. And yes, it might make you slower in terms of movement speed… but the trade-off is worth it, considering that +5 in Strength will increase your melee attack damage by a lot. Plus more good news: this weapon only requires you to be at level 10 to use it. How to get: The Clunky Mace can be bought at the Volcano Store for 240 Gold.

5. NG Lollipop

The NG Lollipop (or the Newgrounds Lollipop) is one of the few weapons with decent stats that are instantly accessible in the game. +5 in Agility points is the only bonus you can get. But considering you can use this weapon at level 1, it’s a must-have. How to get: You can find the NG Lollipop after purchasing the “Pink Knight Pack” DLC in two ways:

Finding it inside the Weapons Frog’s mouth Playing as the Pink Knight

4. Ninja Claw

One of the few weapons that glow in the game, the Ninja Claw hands out two different stat boosts:

+3 Magic +5 Agility

It’s another weapon with great stat bonuses without taking away other stat points. The Ninja Claw will also grant you a 3% chance to Poison an enemy upon hitting them. Note that you must be at least level 35 to use this weapon. How to get: You can find the Ninja Claw inside the Weapons Frog’s mouth after purchasing BattleBlock Theater.

3. Buffalo Mace

The Buffalo Mace grants the following stat boosts:

+5 Strength +3 Defense

Dealing and taking damage will not be a problem with this weapon equipped. While a significant amount of Agility (-2) is taken away from you, the trade-off is more than worth it to toughen your knight up. How to get: You can find the Buffalo Mace inside the Weapons Frog’s mouth after purchasing the “Pink Knight Pack” DLC.

2. Club

It may look like a regular Club. But there’s more to this thing than its wooden exterior. This weapon gives you +5 in both Strength and Defense, while taking away 3 Agility points. It’s definitely an upgrade over the Buffalo Mace, considering you gain +5 stat bonuses in both Strength and Defense this early in the game. And you’ll only need to be level 20 to wield this weapon. How to get: The Bears in the “Tall Grass Field” level will drop this weapon.

1. Man Catcher

The Man Catcher is arguably one of the best weapons in the entire game because of the stat bonuses it offers. More specifically, this thing gives 3 different stat boosts:

+5 Strength +2 Defense +2% Critical Strike

It’s instantly accessible too, and can be equipped upon starting the game. The only drawback being that you have to at least be level 35 to be able to use this weapon. How to get: You can find the Man Catcher inside the Weapons Frog’s mouth after purchasing the “Blacksmith Pack” DLC.
